About Leigh-Ann Webster, NBC-HWC
Leigh-Ann Webster is a passionate health and wellness leader committed to empowering
individuals through coaching, outdoor experiences, and transformative health practices. She
serves as Board Chair for the YMCA of Mission Valley in San Diego, CA, and is an advisory board
member for Preventia, a digital health platform that champions preventative care and sustainable
lifestyle change.
As part of Mentor Agility, Leigh-Ann leads outreach, marketing, and publicity for the Veterans
Talking to Veterans program, a groundbreaking initiative that empowers veterans to coach
other veterans with a strong focus on post-traumatic growth, resilience, and health.
Leigh-Ann is the founder of the Outdoor Health Project, an organization dedicated to improving
health and well-being through outdoor activities and adventure. A fierce advocate for Lifestyle
Medicine, she is a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine and integrates its
principles into all her work, from coaching to writing about health, wellness, and the outdoors.
An avid adventurer, Leigh-Ann has completed the iconic John Muir Trail, summited Mt. Whitney
multiple times, and participated in several endurance events. These experiences shape her
belief in the transformative power of physical challenge, nature, and mental resilience.
Leigh-Ann’s prior role as Executive Director of the National Board for Health & Wellness
Coaching (NBHWC) from 2015 to 2024 saw the organization grow into a global leader, certifying
over 10,000 National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coaches worldwide.
An alumna of the University of California San Diego (UCSD), Leigh-Ann is a National Board
Certified Health & Wellness Coach, Certified Personal Trainer, and DPP Lifestyle Coach. She has
spoken at numerous health conferences and continues to mentor emerging leaders in the field.
When not working, Leigh-Ann enjoys spending time with family, exploring national parks,
cooking, and living the principles she teaches, that movement, connection, and adventure are
keys to a fulfilling life.
